Did you know that the average consumer throws away 30 kilos of clothing per year? This totals to a global amount of 11,793,401,620 kilos, 95% of which could be recycled. I discovered the Eternity Boutique in Paddington, Brisbane a few months ago, this place has some gorgeous items that are being given a second life. Op Shops are a great way that we can take part in reducing consumer waste and being more environmentally conscious. I have also seen some big brands, such as Zara and H&M doing their part in reducing pollution by accepting preloved clothes to give them a second life in their factories. Slowly but surely, change is happening as we become more aware of the impact on our mother earth.
